All adults working in Scouting in the District are unpaid volunteers.

Most volunteers are either parents or have previous Scouting experience. If you wish to volunteer, you should contact your local Scout Group or the District team. New volunteers are always welcome.
Scout Groups, and the District, are supported by Executive committees. Their members ensure that funding, premises and adult resources are in place.
Most sections require Helpers occasionally to assist the warranted Leaders in running activities for young people. Helpers usually join a rota.
Warranted Leaders are trained adults who work in teams to run a section of a Scout Group on a regular basis. They wear a uniform consisting of a stone shirt or blouse, Group scarf and woggle and Scout belt. Warranted Leaders must have a religious faith.
Some warranted Leaders (Commissioners) also work at District or County level to provide support to all Scout Groups.
